Are you a skilled Occupational Therapist with a passion for assessments, consulting, and creating meaningful outcomes for children and their families?
Allied Plus Recruitment is working with a warm, values-driven paediatric clinic located in Melbourne’s inner north/east suburbs, seeking an experienced sub-contractor OT to take on a specialised assessment and consulting role.
About the Role
This is a clinic-based, assessment-only position, perfect for an experienced OT who loves comprehensive assessments, collaborative planning, and empowering teams and families—without the ongoing weekly therapy workload.

What You’ll Be Doing
Conducting detailed assessments for children aged 2–12 in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, behaviour, fine/gross motor, social/play skills, handwriting, and school readiness
Developing clear, practical therapy plans that guide effective intervention
Collaborating with speech pathologists, therapy assistants, and families to ensure plans are well understood and implemented
Reviewing and updating therapy plans mid-term and end-of-term to maintain relevance and impact
Leading parent coaching sessions to build confidence and capacity in families
Supporting therapy assistants and team members with strategies and advice across a range of clinical areas
What’s On Offer
$150/hr+ subcontractor rate
Clinic-based role only – no travel required
Two beautifully designed hubs with a warm, child-friendly environment
Full admin support – including scheduling, onboarding, and invoicing
No minimum caseload – work the days/hours that suit your lifestyle
Fun, creative, and collaborative team culture – regular social events, coffee, snacks, and optional yoga
About You
Ideally 5+ years of paediatric OT experience, with confidence in assessments and therapy planning
Strong communicator who can work independently and lead effectively within a team environment
