Currently, our Russell Street shop is urgently requiring a Retail Bakery Manager to help with the operation and day-today management of the shop.

Tasks and Duties:

As Retail Bakery Manager, you will lead and support the retail team, manage inventory, and uphold the company’s reputation for artisanal craftsmanship and innovation in the Melbourne pastry and food scene.

The main tasks will include, but are not limited, to:

· Overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring a seamless customer experience

· Maintain high standards of product presentation, cleanliness, and store aesthetic

· Resolve customer inquiries and concerns in a courteous and effective manner to uphold the brand’s reputation and encourage positive reviews

· Recruit, train and mentor retail staff to ensure a team capable of excellent customer service

· Create staff rosters, manage performance and foster a positive work environment

· Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain inventory

· Ensure all baked foods and coffee products meet company quality standards

· Manage waste reduction strategies to minimise costs

· Creating, pitching and implementing effective merchandising materials and promotions to drive sales growth

· Analyse sales reports and adjust strategies to improve revenue

· Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards

Requirements for the Role:

· AQF Diploma or higher equivalent qualification in Business is desired

· At least 1 year of experience in a related role
