Your new role
As the Management Accountant, you will be a true business partner delivering on the reporting and analysis of the different departments financial position. You will essentially be the 2IC to the Commercial Finance Manager and will play a crucial role in taking ownership and accountability for Peninsula’s success.
This position is not your ordinary Management Accounting role, you will be collaborating with internal stakeholders, presenting information by translating the language of numbers into a story everyone can understand, and identifying overall improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing management accounts and analysis of the departments financial position monthly
- Preparing the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and maintenance of rolling forecasts models
- Cost variance analysis to promote savings across all areas of the business
- Identifying improvements to the processes to improve the overall efficiency of reporting
- Reviewing key reconciliations, assisting on month end tasks, and reconciling the monthly revenue model
- Assisting the team to improve tasks in their areas and providing support to the stakeholders across the business
About you
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in commerce/ finance with 4/5 years of experience
- CPA qualified is highly desirable
- Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL is highly desirable but not crucial
- Have experience in a FP&A environment, and strong analytical skills with experience collecting, organising and disseminating data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders across the business
