Our client, a State Government Independent Regulator, is currently seeking a Licensing and Authorisation Officer for a 3-month assignmentwith a view to extend based on performance and business needs.

Located in the Brisbane CBD, this role will assist the team who are responsible for the administration and management of all authorities relating to safety under the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004.

The role involves:

• Provide accurate and timely verbal and written information and guidance to customers and stakeholders in relation to legislated licensing and authorisation functions.
• Evaluate and recommend new licence applications for approval or rejection, and process licence renewals in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Financial administration including management of fees paid through BPoint and referral of refunds to the Team Leader.
• Process, pack, and post compliance goods orders to licence holders.

The successful candidate will have:

• Customer Service Experience within a legislative environment
• Good Attention to Detail to assist in the ability to assess licence applications and renewals
• Proficiency in MS Office Ability to use excel, outlook, word
