ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Through strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives, the Health Workforce Consultant will lead processes to attract, recruit and retain a skilled and engaged health workforce in the Northern Territory.
The purpose of this role is to drive initiatives that address the health workforce and service delivery needs in the NT primary health care sector. In partnership with client health services and key stakeholders, the Health Workforce Consultant is focused on driving strategic projects and initiatives to address key challenges that affect the quality, availability and sustainability of the primary health care workforce.
The position is responsible for tailoring workforce programs to meet individual health professional and health service needs. This includes integrating workforce management into other workforce programs, including grants, incentives, future workforce and education programs to ensure the NT has a stable and sustainable primary health care workforce.
The Workforce Consultant will have the opportunity to recruit across multiple focus areas, of medical, nursing and allied health.
ABOUT YOU
Qualification ideally or working towards a qualification in HR or other related field such as business, organisational psychology or project management
Relevant experience: expertise in areas such as contemporary recruitment & retention practices, talent & case management and workforce development strategies
Engagement skills: demonstrated ability to positively influence internal and external stakeholders
Relationship management: ability to build and successfully maintain client relationships
Project delivery: demonstrated skills in leading projects and/or programs, initiatives with demonstrated success in in the management and delivery of projects using project management principles and methodology
Interpersonal skills: highly developed skills, working across a variety of cultural backgrounds, including strong verbal and written communication and networking abilities
Personal skills: excellent time-management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects/programs and prioritise workload effectively.
Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and to partner with other internal functions to ensure optimal service delivery to external clients.
Growth mindset: demonstrated experience in contributing to continuous quality improvement and working as part of a high-functioning team.
