The Role
As part of our centralised Talent Acquisition function, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and recruiting top-tier professionals across Allied Health and Psychology. Your expertise will contribute to the continued growth of our highly skilled workforce across multiple disciplines, including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychology, and Social Work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to develop meaningful, tailored job briefs.
- Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies across multiple talent platforms (e.g., SEEK, LinkedIn, specialist job boards).
- Identify and engage both active and passive candidates to build and maintain talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality recruitment experience.
- Provide strategic advice on workforce planning, attraction, and selection strategies.
About You:
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills to create an exceptional experience for hiring managers and candidates.
- Proven ability to provide operational solutions to meet workforce planning needs.
- Excellent relationship management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in a proactive Talent Acquisition function within a complex, matrix-structured organisation.
- Recruitment experience across Psychology and Allied Health, including Speech Therapy, Dietetics, and Lived Experience roles.
- Strong knowledge of attraction, recruitment, and selection best practices, particularly within the health sector.

Our corporate office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital, just 15 minutes north of Melbourne’s CBD in Fairfield. As we expand, we are growing our team across Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations, and our Community Directorate.

Our story
Forensicare (Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health) is the state-wide specialist provider of forensic mental health services in Victoria. Forensicare is the only agency in Victoria that provides clinical forensic mental health services which span all components of the mental health and criminal justice sectors – giving Forensicare a unique perspective on mental health and public safety issues. It is able to provide specialist forensic mental health services tailored to meet the specific needs of both sectors.
We provide forensic mental health services for people:
with a serious mental illness in the criminal justice system
at risk of offending who pose a risk to themselves or others
referred from the general mental health system for specialist advice, support and/or treatment.
Forensicare’s primary focus is the provision of clinical services within a recovery framework. These services include the effective assessment, treatment and management of forensic patients, prisoners and clients.
