The role

Reporting into the Engineering team, this full-time Mechanical Designer role presents an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Australian Certified Winches' in Yatala, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for the company's range of winch products

Prepare detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software

Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs are producible and meet quality standards

Conduct design reviews, testing and analysis to optimise product performance and reliability

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices in mechanical design

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and documentation

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar mechanical design role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry

Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor

Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and an understanding of design for manufacturability principles

Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and regulations
