Mitchell and Brown Communications is a locally owned business that has been operating for over 50 Years in the Midwest region

We are looking for Communication Installers/Service Technicians to join our team. We are a Geraldton-based company specialising in Data/Communications networks.

MBC is a multifaceted company with three divisions, Communications, Fire and Security and therefore a successful applicant will be exposed to a diverse range of work with a primary focus on telecommunications-cabled networks.

Primary duties will be in the installation, terminating and testing of Cat6-Cat6a Copper Networks and Optic Fibre Networks in commercial and residential premises and will be the fundamental part of the role.

Positions available for immediate start

Duties:

• Installation, commissioning and servicing of Communication & Fibre Optic systems
• Diagnosing faults on site by repairing or replacing equipment/cabling.
• Termination, testing and commissioning networks including Structured cable, optic fibre, coaxial, Wireless, WiFi, PA, MATV(Coaxial)
• Reading comprehending and working from plans and specifications
• Provide support to other staff/areas of the business when required.

Experience in the following is highly regarded but not essential:

• Commercial installations with either Electrical or Communications experience
• Optic Fibre installations
• Telecommunications
• Working at heights / EWP
• Fire, Security & CCTV networks
• IT networks
• Wireless/WiFi networks

Licenses, qualifications and requirements:

• WA Driver's License
• ACMA Registration
• Open Cabling Registration
• Construction Industry Blue/White Card
• EWP & SWH (advantage but not essential)
• Certificate III in Telecommunications (advantage but not essential)
• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Additional/specific training will be provided to meet the work environment.

Renumeration will be inline with the applicant's experience. The employment package includes an equipped work vehicle, mobile phone, uniform and safety boots on starting.
