We’re currently on the lookout for a skilled and motivated CAD Draftsperson to join our in-house team at our Brendale manufacturing plant. This is a full-time, permanent role available for an immediate start.

About the Role
As a CAD Draftsperson, you’ll play a key role in the design and development of our high-quality towbars. You’ll be responsible for creating precise CAD drawings and 3D models that support both product development and manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Produce accurate CAD drawings and 3D models of towbars and component parts.

Collaborate closely with the product development team to improve design quality and efficiency.

Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to enhance product performance and manufacturability.

Maintain documentation for design changes, revisions, and approvals.

Generate Bills of Materials and input design data into our ERP system.

Create renders and technical illustrations for manuals, documentation, and marketing purposes.

Contribute to improving and maintaining our internal design standards and processes.

What We’re Looking For

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field OR equivalent hands-on technical experience.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar CAD drafting role.

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. Rhino3D, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks) SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.

Solid understanding of engineering design principles and manufacturing techniques.

Experience with fabrication processes including laser cutting, and pressing.

Strong mechanical aptitude — experience in the automotive or 4x4 accessories space is a plus.

High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Creative problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset.

Familiarity with PDM systems is a plus.

Basic knowledge of FEA simulations is advantageous.

Experience with 3D scanning is considered an asset.
