We’re on the lookout for a talented Draftsperson to join our in-house team in Meadowbrook. If you’re experienced in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor and thrive on turning concepts into clean, buildable documentation, this could be the role for you.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic design and drafting position with a mix of technical drawing, product development, and visual documentation. You’ll:

● Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for automatic gate installations

● Design structural steelwork, concrete foundations, and automation layouts

● Produce fabrication drawings, set-out plans, and cable pathway schematics

● Work closely with the fabrication, automation, and install teams to deliver accurate documentation

● Assist in developing and documenting the Walsh Gates product range – including standard assemblies and modular components

● Play a vital role in standardising our internal parts library and drawing systems

● Create technical illustrations and layout drawings for instruction manuals and operation & maintenance manuals provided to clients

What We’re Looking For:

● Proven experience in drafting (ideally in construction, steel fabrication, or automation-related industries)

● Strong skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

● High attention to detail and an eye for clean, functional design

● Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and engineer drawings

● Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments

● Bonus: experience with graphic layout software for manuals or technical publications
