Position Purpose

You will play an integral part of the Onboarding and Tax Admin team and report to the Practice Manager.

Key Accountabilities

Answering overflow calls with excellent client service skills

Providing administrative support for the lodgement of tax returns, activity statements, and other documents with the ATO Attending to staff tax administration queries including updating information on ATO system

Onboarding new clients

Database management

Liaison with Australian Taxation Office and other regulatory bodies when required (regarding administrative duties)

Organising and distributing mail and couriers

Bank reconciliations

Data entry and filing

Manage end-to-end administration requirements in a fast-moving environment.

Required Capabilities

Selection Criteria

Customer service experience

Sound computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft suite

Attention to detail and excellent communicator (Verbal and Written).

Strong planning and organisational skills

Ability to excel under pressure, and multitask, with excellent problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrate a positive, organised and efficient approach to your work.

Ability to organize and meet conflicting deadlines, experience resolving issues and making quick decisions to ensure timely accurate services.

Qualifications or Relevant Experience

Currently studying Business Administration or interested in a role within Operations

Xero training (preferred)

Previous experience in a financial services or professional services environment
