Essential Qualifications:

A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.​

Diploma or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).​

First Aid Certificate, including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.​

Essential Skills and Attributes:

Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.​

Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of educators, ensuring optimal performance and staff retention.​

Capability to handle day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.​

Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, ensuring the service remains compliant.​

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with families, staff, regulatory bodies, and the broader community.​

Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.​

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

Experience in a previous Service Manager, Centre Director, Centre Manager role, or similar.​

Skills to address and resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise among staff or with families.​

Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource management.​

Ability to utilize relevant software for management, communication, and reporting purposes.​

A commitment to ongoing training and development to stay updated with sector changes and best practices.​
