Now .. A Bit About The Role

The Operations Lead at The Living Room is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of health and support services for a highly marginalised population, including people experiencing homelessness. Working under our Community Health Manager and in partnership with our Clinical Lead, this role ensures operational excellence, best-practice service delivery, and a safe, person-centred environment. Combining operational leadership, project management, you will lead multidisciplinary teams fostering collaboration across social service disciplines while maintaining service consistency, safety, and efficiency.

With a strong focus on risk-aware decision-making and data-driven insights, you will drive continuous improvement and service innovation while aligning operations with long-term strategic goals. Additionally, you will lead the development and implementation of frameworks to enable strong therapeutic relationships and boundaries, enhancing cross-sector collaboration and strengthening The Living Room’s impact in the community.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in operational leadership within complex health, community, or social service environments.
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver projects, using data and evidence-based insights
  • Deep understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice, with the ability to model strong therapeutic boundaries.
  • Experience working collaboratively across sectors including health, housing, AOD, and community services.
  • Commitment to safe, inclusive, and equitable service delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and confident approach to leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Allied health, mental health, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. (BONUS🚀)
