About the role
An opportunity has become available for a Full-time Laboratory Technician Supervisor for Evenings at our Microbiology Department, Osborne Park, WA.
Your role will be to participate in the day to day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team. Duties include general Microbiology work, Supervision of evening staff, maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.
Minimum 3 years experience within Microbiology discipline of a Pathology laboratory
Previous experience in a supervision role would be advantageous
High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and evening rosters including public holidays.
