The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform microbiological and chemical testing on water and wastewater samples, ensuring compliance with environmental and health standards. You will contribute to critical operational testing, supporting both business and community health objectives.

  • Conduct microbiological and chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples
  • Actively participate as a member of the Laboratory team for the purposes of delivering best practice and consistency across work teams
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain high standards for safety, accuracy, and quality control in testing procedures

What we're looking for

We are looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to conduct microbiological and chemical testing on water and wastewater samples. The ideal candidate will be passionate about science, committed to safety and quality, and eager to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

  • A passion for science and making a meaningful impact in environmental and public health
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality in laboratory testing
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic setting
  • Bachelor of Science or Diploma of Laboratory Technology with experience or equivalent demonstrated experience

The Details

This role will be based in Hobart and attracts a salary of $91,695.92 (inclusive of superannuation).
