About the role
An opportunity has become available for a Permanent Full Time Laboratory Technician in our Cytology Department located at Subiaco Western Australia.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
· Processing Cervical Screening samples
· Running and maintaining molecular analysers
· Interpreting molecular test results and analysing associated statistical data
· Processing non gynecological samples
· Maintaining laboratory equipment
· Participating in training, audit and external Quality Assurance activities
· Liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders
· Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety and Quality Assurance Processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position you will need
Diploma in Laboratory Techniques
· Previous experience in a Clinical Laboratory in the Cytology and or Infectious Molecular field desirable
Ability to identify, develop and implement quality improvement in accordance with NATA/ISO certification
· Ability to work independently and with infrequent supervision
Exceptional attention to detail
Time management, interpersonal communication and organisational skills
An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence
Adherence to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
A positive, team focused attitude; motivated toward achieving departmental goals
Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy dynamic environment
