Role Overview:
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving business growth in Australia and New Zealand by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with existing and new clients, and expanding Essentra Components' market share. This role requires a hunter with a strong sales acumen and a passion for client engagement. In this role you will be working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure mutual success.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to the following:
- Sales prospecting; researching target industries, identifying new prospects or potential customers who have a need for Essentra’s product offer
- Using sales tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and online research (reviewing potential customers’ websites and social media presence), identify key decision makers within prospect organisations aligned to Essentra’s target personas – supply chain, purchasing and engineering decision makers
- Working with regional and local marketing teams to design marketing campaigns which promote Essentra’s value proposition and product offer to target customers or industries
- Proactively follow up leads through outbound sales activity both via telephone sales, email follow up as well as other sales platforms. Using effective questioning and listening techniques to understand prospects business needs, applications and product requirements in order to drive conversion to spending customers
- Proactively grow newly acquired customers through cross selling, up selling as well excellent account management
- Prepare and follow up sales quotations to customers, prospects and leads liaising with internal departments to ensure a hassle free experience and effective quote conversion.
- Maintain accurate lead, prospect and customer records in the CRM (including follow up activities) such that the business maintains a 360 degree view of its customers and potential customers
Job Requirement
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field
- Minimum experience of 3 years in out-bound, high volume sales role
- Previous experience of working within an industrial market is preferred but is not essential
- Excellent written and oral in English to communicate with English speaking customers
- Self-motivated, drive and desire to succeed
- Outgoing & enthusiastic personality
- Capable of working under pressure, prioritising workload
- Team player, willing to adapt to changes
- Working to deadlines/targets
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Applications
