Primarily your work will cover all aspects of trade mark practice and you will be acting in respect of local, regional and international clients, covering a very broad range of industries. My clients IP team works for organisations ranging from start ups to well established businesses, including highly recognisable Australian and overseas brands.

What you will be doing:

• Work closely with Partners and have direct client contact
• Manage a portfolio of national and international brands
• Focus on front-end trade mark work
• Prepare and lodge trade mark applications in Australia and overseas
• Draft specifications of goods and services tailored to client needs
• Conduct and report on trade mark clearance searches
• Provide strategic advice on brand protection and portfolio management

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws
• Live in Sydney - this is a full time office based position
• Admitted as an Australian Lawyer
• Australian Registered Trade Mark Attorney
• A good working knowledge of WebTMS is preferred but may not be essential for the right candidate.
