We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate new team member to join our expanding team. We require a motivated individual to fill an IT Support/System Engineer position. This role is predominantly work-from-home with some onsite work. We require a knowledgeable and proactive professional to support our clients and work closely with management on advanced systems and services.

Responsibilities within the role:

Providing our clients IT support: Troubleshoot, support, and maintain a variety of devices, applications, and platforms.

Advanced Infrastructure Work: Perform Server Administration (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022), configure and manage Azure Cloud Services including Azure Virtual Desktop, and administer Entra ID (Azure AD).

Networking & Security: Deploy, configure, and maintain networking equipment (firewalls, switches, routers) and ensure best practices in security and disaster recovery.

Documentation: Generate and maintain clear, detailed documentation regarding the support, solutions, and processes provided to clients.

Time Management: Track billable hours and ensure time usage meets client expectations and SLA requirements.

Customer Service: Deliver an excellent support experience to all Plex IT clients, proactively communicating solutions and timelines.

Project Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers to scope, plan, and execute IT projects (e.g., server migrations, cloud implementations, or network upgrades).

To be successful in the role, you must have knowledge in the following:

Desktop Support: Experience with Windows 10/11 and Mac OS user support.

Microsoft Office 365: Proficiency in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting the Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).

Windows Server (2016/2019/2022): Solid foundation in server management, user administration, and Active Directory.

Azure and Entra ID Services: Entra ID (Azure AD) administration and Azure Cloud Services

Networking: Understanding of internal/external DNS management, VPN, VLANs, and firewall rules.

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or prior experience in a similar IT support or MSP role.

The successful candidate must possess:

Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal abilities, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Attention to Detail & Time Management: Able to organise and prioritise workloads effectively, producing efficient, high-quality work.

Autonomy & Initiative: Comfortable working independently while also knowing when to seek support or clarification.

Commitment to Customer Service: Enthusiastic about providing superior service experiences and building positive client relationships.

Proactive Mindset: A “can-do” attitude, eagerness to learn, and the courage to ask questions to find the best solutions.
