About the role

Forever Ours Pet Crematorium is seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Pet Crematorium Office/Road Staff member. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing professional and empathetic support to pet owners during a difficult time, as well as assisting with the transportation and cremation of beloved pets. The position is based in Hervey Bay, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and assisting pet parents with respect and sensitivity

Receiving and processing pet remains for cremation

Transporting pet remains to and from the crematorium

Performing administrative duties such as record-keeping and inventory management

Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Providing exceptional customer service and supporting grieving pet owners

On call 1 weekend per month

What we're looking for

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize and support pet owners during a difficult time

Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Compassion and a genuine care for the well-being of pets and their owners

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to assist with various tasks, including physical labour

Previous experience in a customer service or animal-related role is preferred

Must have a valid 'C' class drivers license

Sound knowledge of Xero accounting program and computer skills
