2IC / Supervisor

ChoiceOne are looking for an experienced 2IC / Supervisor for our client based in the Southern suburbs. The role will be Permanent Fulltime after a very short probation period.

Supporting the Operations Manager – the 2IC / Supervisor will be required to lead and support the IBC & Drum Services team in all areas of the site, whilst ensuring that the site’s processes are compliant with best practice procedures.

Being a hands-on role, you are responsible for overall supervision and direction of all operational production team members within IBC & Drum Services. With the ability to understand and manage the technical component of the role, your role makes up part of the site’s leadership team. This role is designed for a high energy, committed and motivated self-starter who has the desire to make a difference.

You will have strong operational and communication skills and the ability to lead your team to success. This integral role will play a major part in driving the agenda of operational excellence, process improvement, cost efficiency, quality, and increased throughput productivity.

The 2IC / Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, including: cleaning, repairs, modifications, storage, the safe and efficient running of plant and equipment and welfare for all site operators, as well as managing third party independent certification.

• Attention to detail

Your background

• Fitter, Welder or Boilermaker background (highly advantageous)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Manufacturing background (highly advantageous)
