Toll Global Logistics (TGL) - Retail, Transport and Grocery division is currently recruiting for experienced Road Transport Subcontractors who can safely transport beverage products in the Canberra metropolitan areas and Canberra regional areas such as Yass, Goulburn, Cooma, Snowfields, Moruya and Merimbula. Two Heavy Rigid tautliners are required for this work with appropriate safety devices like folding side steps.

TGL requires the subcontractor to have a good understanding of NHVR's COR obligations and must be able to satisfy Toll’s Compliance and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) onboarding requirements.

Upon successful application, vehicle compliance, safety and HSE checks must be demonstrated/provided for the following, employee resumes, reference checks, driver medical assessment, drugs & alcohol testing, National Police Check Certificate, driving history report, copies of driver’s licenses, vehicle safety inspection reports, a vehicle inspection will be completed with a high focus on vehicle safety, presentation and cleanliness of vehicles.

1. You must have an ABN and ACN number,

2. You must hold relevant insurances for example, Workers Compensation Insurance, Vehicle Insurance, Product/Marine Insurance and Public Liability,

3. Toll’s facility where vehicles are parked and loaded is located at Queanbeyan NSW 2620,

4. In your business, you must have drivers with Heavy Rigid licenses (HR) and offsiders that can perform delivery of beverage products to shops, cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, schools, bakeries, service stations and other retail outlets using a hand trolley,

5. Two Heavy Rigid (HR), 12 or 14 pallet tautliners are required. If you don’t have these vehicles in your fleet but have the right drivers and offsiders then, Toll can assist you with the hire of two HR vehicles from Toll’s fleet,

6. If you have your own vehicles then, a preference of no more than 3.4m high from the ground to the top of the tautliner roof (other heights may be considered) and a hydraulic tail-lift is optional,

7. Good knowledge of Canberra metropolitan areas, Yass, Goulburn, Cooma, Snowfields, Moruya and Merimbula is required,

8. You must have excellent customer service skills and be well presented wearing the appropriate PPE,

9. All drivers and offsiders must satisfactorily pass the Compliance and HSE onboarding checks as stated above,

10. Times of work are Monday to Friday, 5am and finish between 2pm and 5pm (depending on the quantity of deliveries),

11. Induction, driver training, COR and HSE training and support will be provided,

12. For the successful subcontractor, a formal agreement with Toll will be issued with 14-day payment terms with fuel levy,
