About the role

Are you an experienced and passionate Educator looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in the Northern Peninsula Area? Bamagau Kazil Torres Strait Islanders Corporation is seeking a full-time Educator to join our team in Bamaga, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational experiences that support the holistic development of young children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning programs that cater to the individual needs and interests of children

Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that fosters children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth

Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to inform program planning and individual support

Collaborating with families to build strong partnerships and support the continuity of children's learning and development

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies

Participating in ongoing professional development to continually enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA equivalent Certificate III qualification

At least one (1) year experience working as an Educator in a childcare or early learning setting

A deep understanding of child development and the ability to implement developmentally appropriate programs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

A commitment to inclusive practices and a respect for the diverse backgrounds and needs of children

Collaborative team member

A valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
