Northern Midlands Council is seeking applications from qualified Cert III Educators to work across multiple age-groups at our services at the new purpose-built Perth Early Learning Centre, and our service at Cressy.

As part of our community services for families and children in the area, the council operates 3 Child Care Services in the Northern midlands, servicing Cressy, Perth and Avoca. About the roles
Reporting to the Childcare Director, the successful applicants will provide support and care for children at the service in accordance with children’s individual development plans, centre policy and relevant legislation.
The role will see you working with a passionate and dedicated team committed to delivering high quality programs and creating a positive environment to support children to thrive and grow.
Council will support the successful applicant in undertaking the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education Qualification at TasTAFE, delivered in service, should they wish to further their education in this area.
About you
You will be passionate about your work and take pride in delivering high quality learning outcomes. You will be a great communicator with both adults and children, and you will be proactive in your approach to care and support.
You will also have a sound understanding of the health and safety risks involved with working with children and be able to demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and kindness.
You must:
- Hold a Cert III in Early Childhood Education - either CHC30121 or CHC30113
- First aid certificate or willingness to undertake the training
- Hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children's Check
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical including a musculoskeletal and fitness assessment, and a urine drug & alcohol screen

Terms and conditions of employment, including salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and in accordance with the Northern Midlands Council Enterprise Agreement.
