Your Role
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, including advanced 3, 4, and 5-axis systems, to produce and modify components essential to Defence projects. Your work will ensure that all components meet stringent Defence standards, with a meticulous attention to detail that guarantees the highest level of quality and reliability.
You'll manage production processes efficiently through electronic workstations, perform regular maintenance on CNC machinery, and contribute to a safe and smooth-running operation.
Additionally, you’ll play a leadership role by training junior CNC Machinists and driving continuous improvement across all shifts.
About You
You will have a strong background in advanced manufacturing techniques, with a focus on producing components for Defence applications. You should be capable of programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines independently, delivering high-quality results under pressure.
A meticulous approach to your work, combined with well-developed communication skills, is essential for collaborating on complex Defence projects. You’ll also need to demonstrate a proactive mindset, always seeking ways to enhance production capabilities and improve processes.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, and extensive experience in operating CNC machinery, particularly in 3, 4, and 5-axis operations, are required.
Experience in a Defence-related manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
