The purpose of the Senior Project Manager is to project manage the delivery of multiple electrical and ITS infrastructure projects through the project management lifecycle. The position will be responsible for administration of contracts to the design, construction and maintenance processes associated with project delivery.

In this dynamic role, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Using your knowledge, expertise and leadership you will coordinate teams to deliver all relevant activities to ensure successful delivery of projects within time quality, cost and other project targets. Utilise project teams to resolve complex issues to improve overall project performance.
• Manage the project team, materials, resources and suppliers to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilised, and to ensure deliverables, time and budgetary requirements are met.
• Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to project issues, and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the project/s.
• Provide specialist advice to senior management on all aspects of the project and make project presentations as required.
• Identify and engage the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver project requirements, including the selection, engagement and procurement of contractors and suppliers.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions

• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent.
• A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the State.

Desirable qualifications and conditions

• A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Project Management.
• Experience in Program management positions in electrical infrastructure industry.
