To succeed as the Director (WHS & Rehabilitation), you will demonstrate strategic insight and operational expertise in the field of health, safety and rehabilitation. Your focus will drive a cultural and operational transformation in departmental WHS practices.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- strong assurance and governance
- compliance with legislative requirements
- robust tools and resources
- fit-for-purpose technical platforms
- reporting outcomes that drive best practice safety decision-making.
- Lead the strategic vision and operational execution of best practive safety management to ensure the physical, mental and psychologial wellbeing of workers and visitors.
- Deliver continuous improvement within TMR's enterprise-wide Safety Management System to ensure:
- Provide stratetgic advice and support to TMR Officers to ensure optimal safety management aligned with due diligence obligations.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive safety performance, develop a progressive safety culture and execute an enterprise-wide safety strategy.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in workplace, health, safety psychological safety, and rehabilitation practices - including risk factors and management.
- Exceptional engagement and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration, cultivate strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders, and leverage credibility and emotional intelligence to effectively inform and guide executive decision-making.
- Strong research, strategic problem-solving and data analysis skills to inform and guide evidence-based decision-making.
