To be considered for the role, you will be a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner who has been assessed at a Proficient level
Position Overview:
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP), you will work with clients, families, and support teams to develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans. Your role will focus on understanding and reducing challenging behaviours while promoting skill development and enhancing the quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support plans.
- Implement strategies that enhance clients’ skills, independence, and social engagement.
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioural challenges and their underlying causes.
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to caregivers, families, and other professionals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support strategies and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with organizational and NDIS guidelines.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic client care.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient or above)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other allied health profession.
- Certification in Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) or willingness to complete PBS training*.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to a client-centered approach, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practice.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Driver's License
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or challenging behaviours.

*Please note, you must meet suitability (Proficient or above BSP) and have current registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a behaviour support practitioner (either Core, Proficient, Advanced and/or Specialist).
