In addition to our transportation services, we operate a state-of-the-art distribution center where we focus on cross-docking containers. This process allows us to quickly transfer goods from one mode of transport to another, minimizing storage time and optimizing supply chain efficiency.

The Opportunity:

Kreskas Brothers Transport is looking for a motivated and quick-thinking individual with prior transport experience to manage and lead our team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional capable of independently solving problems, with a strong work ethic and the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.

Responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:

Scheduling our fleet of line haul operators for timely transport to and from the Port of Melbourne (POM).

Ensuring load compliance in accordance with the Chain of Responsibility (COR) regulations.

Collaborating with the Compliance Manager to manage driver fatigue and ensure safe driving practices.

Ensuring client expectations and schedules are consistently met, maintaining high service standards.

Overseeing and managing staff, including direct reports, to ensure efficient team performance.

Strong experience in scheduling freight movements efficiently and effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clear and professional interactions.

Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.

Ability to problem-solve quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in software programs, and an aptitude to pick up transport management software.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, for effective task management and communication.

Strong commitment to delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
