My Client is a fully integrated developer of renewable energy solutions at scale. Leading pan-European multi-technology renewable energy developer and have recently entered the Australian market. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily operations on-site, coordinating with stakeholders such as clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and in line with requirements. The role also ensures compliance with regulations and represents My client professionally in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Phase
- Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Construction Project Manager, to meet milestones and optimise efficiency.
- Communication: Establish effective communication with local representatives, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Quality & Compliance: Oversee contractors' quality control, material deliveries, and compliance with specifications.
- Safety: Manage health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) protocols, including safety drills and inspections.
- Issue Resolution: Monitor potential disruptions and find solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of project progress, risks, and any events impacting schedules or costs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, subcontractors, clients, and investors to ensure smooth operations
Documentation:
- Pre-Site: Review monitoring plans, ensure HSE and emergency plans are in place, and implement check-in systems.
- On-Site: Conduct site inductions, verify chemical safety data, and ensure waste management plans are followed.
- Ongoing: Maintain a site diary, prepare progress reports, track issues, and document complaints or concerns from stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in construction management and on-site roles.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and local legislation.
- Skills: Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- People Management: Experience managing teams, contractors, and clients.
- Commercial Awareness: Understanding of financial aspects of construction projects.
- IT Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office and project management tools.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license and full working rights in Australia.
