The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for experienced Senior Project Engineers to join our Maritime team and be a part of an exciting array of upcoming marine infrastructure projects that will shape Western Australian’s Coastline and water transportation into the future.
The Department of Transport’s Maritime Directorate is recognised as the State Government centre of maritime expertise. Maritime has a 10-year program of works that includes major asset replacements and upgrades within existing boat harbours and delivery of new facilities throughout the state.
Working in our Maritime directorate there is a unique and exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of projects at numerous maritime facilities throughout Western Australia from advising during project planning through managing detailed design to supervising construction. There are currently the following positions available for immediate filling:
- 2 x Senior Project Engineer (SLC4) – fulltime fixed term, with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency.

This role may require the incumbent to travel to regional locations to undertake site-based roles during construction phases.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for these or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.
