The Opportunity
Noosa Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Volunteer Officer to join our Noosa Libraries team.
This role contributes to the high-quality customer service of Noosa Libraries and effective delivery of day-to-day library operations.
In addition, this role provides strong leadership to our library volunteers, coordinating their activities, and ensuring they have a rewarding experience.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working across both Noosaville and Cooroy library branches.

Position Remuneration: Level 3.1 ($75,709 base annual salary) / ($85,936 total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).

About You
In this role you will:
Contribute to customer-centric library services and assist with the day-to-day provision of library operations.
Coordinate the library services' volunteer programs and services, with a focus on the administration and supervision of volunteers.
Support the provision of library services that reflect best practices and fulfil the objectives outlined in the Library Service’s strategies and plans.
To thrive in this position, you will have:
A positive approach to working with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds and a passion for volunteers and the value they provide.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with experience in volunteer management and delivery of volunteer-related programs.
The ability to build meaningful relationships and inspire volunteers through the implementation of reward and recognition programs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the ability to resolve challenges independently and negotiate positive outcomes.
