The Role

Due to recent growth in our business, we are currently recruiting a licensed Electrical Leading Hand to join our team, who has experience with commercial and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will be undertaking tasks not limited to the below:

Work within the data centre space – electrical base build and fit-out projects

Supporting critical and essential services across various sectors

IT data and communications infrastructure projects

National rollouts for new and retrofit programs.

Servicing, maintaining & supporting our Australia wide, large customer base.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will be a licenced Electrician with the following:

Proven ability to supervise & oversee a team of electricians, apprentices, and labour resources.

A sound knowledge base with all aspects of W.H.&S and relevant Australian standards

Ability to demonstrate strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Ensure the project is running to budget / schedule.

Responsible for the ordering of some materials for the project & ensuring these materials are kept within the budget of the project.

Reliable with a proven ability to work well within a team and autonomously.

To have experience in managing projects

Ensure works are performed in accordance with approved plans/specifications.

Train & develop our junior Staff.

A High Level of oral & written communication with good interpersonal skills. The ability to co-ordinate with others

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with hours ranging from standard trade hours with the possibility of some night works and regional travel from time to time.

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following:

Electrical License, & Contractor’s License or equivalent

BICSI/ACRS Cabler Registration Licence with competencies/endorsements or equivalent Certificate 3 in Telecommunications qualification

Australian Driver’s Licence

OH&S General Induction card

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Police check
