About the role:

Coiltek is recruiting for a Freight and Warehouse Coordinator to join the team at our production facility, approximately 25 minutes north of the Adelaide CBD. This role is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Overseeing stock movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting procurement activities, and managing the shipping of goods both nationally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations, inventory management, and international shipping procedures.

This position is a full time contract with a standard 38 hour week. Hours - Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and an early finish on Friday - 8:30am at 2:30pm.

Your main tasks include but are not limited to:

Warehouse Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure timely deliveries.

• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and coordinate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels.

• Shipping Coordination: Plan and execute the shipment of goods to domestic and international destinations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and timely delivery.

• Documentation Management: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping and customs documentation, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations.

• Supplier and Carrier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to negotiate rates, book shipments, and track deliveries.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse and shipping processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

•Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards and compliance with all relevant regulations

Who are we looking for?

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in logistics, warehousing, or freight coordination, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Inventory Management: Strong understanding of inventory control practices and experience with inventory management software.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Forklift operation experience (or willingness to obtain).

A current driver’s license (preferred).

Australian residency with unrestricted work eligibility.
