About Us

Rural Mechanical Repairs is located in Charters Towers, only 136km west of Townsville and offers both fully equipped workshop facilities and mobile/onsite repairs. We offer a full range of mechanical servicing, logbook servicing and repairs to all makes and models of cars, body trucks, prime movers, trailers, caravans, machinery and earth moving equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic who would like to grow their career in our family run business. This role would be permanent full-time position. We are a small business with 12 staff members who pride ourselves on our quality of workmanship and high standards of customer service.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead and supervise apprentices.

Combination of workshop and field service.

Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles.

Using diagnostic tools and techniques.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and develop repair plans.

Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours.

Skills and experience

Current manual drivers licence

Trade qualification

Air-con licence (highly regarded)

AE (Approved Examiner) licence (highly regarded)

Toyota Technician (highly regarded)
