About the role

We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Gladstone Road Garage in Highgate Hill, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the servicing and repair of a variety of light vehicles. As a valued member of our talented Automotive Trades team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and restoring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair faults in light vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and small commercial vehicles

Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks to manufacturer specifications

Test and inspect vehicle components to identify and rectify any issues

Inspect vehicles and issue road worthy certificates

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics

Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard

Good communication and willingness to share knowledge with our apprentice

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
