The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Board Secretary (Senior Director) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and detailed understanding of governance systems in a public sector environment including support for statewide committees, statutory appointments and annual reporting requirements
• Ensure legislative compliance and manage Board Office operations and communications
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration, actively engaging and contributing to strategic decisions that advance the organisation's priorities.
• Exercise sound professional judgement in the provision of high-level accurate advice, briefs, recommendations, reports and correspondence

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
• Whilst not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Law or qualifications from the Governance Institute of Australia or equivalent will be highly regarded

Salary

• Permanent full time
• Base salary ranging from $169 261 - $182 579 per annum
