Are you an experienced risk and assurance professional with a passion for large-scale transformation programs? A world-renowned financial institution is seeking a dynamic Associate Director - Project Assurance to play a key role in overseeing risk and governance within complex technology and business transformation initiatives.

About the Role

As an Associate Director in the 2nd Line Assurance team, you will be responsible for executing assurance reviews that provide oversight, challenge, and insight into risk management practices within high-impact transformation programs. This role will have a particular focus on a multi-billion-dollar technology simplification program, ensuring its effective governance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute assurance reviews to assess the governance and risk management of change execution within transformation programs.
• Conduct thematic and deep-dive assurance reviews, assessing key controls for design and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across risk divisions, transformation teams, and program governance bodies to ensure effective risk management.
• Deliver insightful and high-quality reporting to risk committees, steering committees, and governance forums.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years of experience in project risk, risk-in-change, risk management, transformation, governance, internal audit, or assurance roles.
• Strong expertise in overseeing risk management, project governance, and compliance within complex transformation projects.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and experience with relevant tools.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience using tools like Alteryx, Copilot, and Power BI for data-driven insights.
• A proactive, outcomes-focused mindset with a passion for delivering risk-based recommendations.
