The Company
Our client is a well-loved and widely recognised Australian brand with a strong national footprint and growing global presence. Known for setting the benchmark in their industry, they combine continuous business growth with a people-first culture! With a head office team supporting corporate, manufacturing and distribution facilities, they pride themselves on agility, innovation, and creating a meaningful customer experience. Now marks a chapter of change and uplift for the group, as they strive to deliver inward, focusing on the creation of a best in class experience for their people.
The Leaders
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The ELT brings a collaborative, values-led approach to leadership, balancing commercial ambition with a genuine commitment to their people. This high-calibre team is deeply focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and driving sustainable growth across the business.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to build the fundamentals of best-practice HR, establishing policies, procedures, and people initiatives that will underpin the future success of the organisation. With a strong focus on culture, development, safety, and compliance, you’ll support the business in driving a high-performing, engaged, and values-aligned workforce.
Once these foundations are embedded, the role has a natural pathway to grow into a true strategic and commercial business partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, contributing to long-term planning, workforce strategy, and organisational development.
Specific responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Providing expert guidance on employee relations matters, including workplace investigations and award interpretation.
- Leading end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, supported by an offshore team member.
- Championing learning and development initiatives across all levels of the business.
- Overseeing performance, remuneration, and reward frameworks aligned to the company’s employee value proposition (EVP).
- Driving WHS governance, including incident reporting, chairing safety committee meetings, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintaining up-to-date HR policies, procedures, and HRIS records in line with best practice and compliance requirements.
About You
You're a naturally organised and proactive professional who thrives in structured environments and takes pride in driving progress. You see the value in building strong HR foundations and are energised by the opportunity to shape a People & Culture function that aligns seamlessly with organisational growth. With a proven track record of implementing impactful HR initiatives, you bring a solid grasp of compliance, culture, and employee engagement.
Your experience likely comes from a multi-site, blue and/or white-collar environment, ideally within FMCG or Retail where you've successfully led a small team. You're excited by the prospect of working closely with the CEO, contributing at both a strategic and operational level, and being part of a successful, growing, family-owned business.
The Process
The recruitment process will provide you with a great opportunity to meet key stakeholders, ask questions and really understand the journey this FMCG powerhouse is on! As such, the interview process will include an interview at Levyl, and two in-person interview rounds with our client (CEO & CFO + potential additional). The preferred candidate will be required to undergo reference checks prior to offer.
The salary on offer is commensurate with experience and within the target range of $150-170,000 + superannuation. The perks on offer include store discounts, ‘free’ products in the corporate office, weekly fruit delivery, free flu shots and office lunch once a month!
