About the Role
The Development Services Case Officer is responsible for coordinating and preparing responses to planning authorities and private developers regarding land use planning and development proposals, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, statutory timeframes, policies, and guidelines.
Key accountabilities include:
- Conduct precinct and place-based planning and development assessments, ensuring a customer-focused approach and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and deadlines when responding to development consent authorities, aligning with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant legislation.
- Assess land use developments to ensure they meet transport safety and efficiency standards, addressing potential network impacts through appropriate upgrades.
- Communicate and negotiate land use planning and development requirements with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government agencies, councils, and private organizations.
- Manage deeds and agreements while contributing to land use proposal planning to safeguard organizational objectives and financial interests.
- Collaborate across regional branches to establish a consistent and outcome-driven approach to land use planning, development assessment, and place-based management.
About You
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Government planning legislation, with the ability to understand and apply.
- Proven experience in land use and transport planning and/or development related impact assessment.
