Appleseed Gardening is an established, growing, and locally operated business located in Marrickville. We have a small team of landscapers and horticulturists, and we are looking for one more Hort!

We are known for our detailed and high quality projects, specialising in garden maintenance and landscaping throughout Sydney's Inner West. We are proficient in all aspects of horticulture, including, but not limited to, garden maintenance, plant selection and installs, pest and disease control, edible and native gardens, seasonal pruning, hedging and lawn care, as well as all aspects of construction.

ABOUT YOU

Appleseed Gardening is looking for a fully qualified horticulturist. You will manage your own jobs and off-sider, and join other qualified and passionate landscapers and horticulturists working on a variety of jobs.

The position entails bringing creativity to design, plant selection, supervision of ongoing maintenance clients, one off garden tidy ups, ordering supplies, and building relationships with suppliers and clients.

The position is full-time role. There is flexibility with hours and days of work.

The hourly rate will be highly competitive.

There is a combination of working alone, with an off-sider, and working as part of a larger team.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The new team member will be a fully qualified horticulturist with experience in maintaining gardens in the local area.

Eligibility requirements:

Hold or be completing a Cert 3 or above in Horticulture;

Have exceptional plant knowledge;

Be experienced with relevant machinery used within the industry;

Be polite, fun, honest and reliable;

Have a keen eye for detail, and a love of the outdoors;

Have knowledge relating to pest and disease control, pruning and shaping, lawn care and irrigation;

Experience and/or an interest in landscape construction is desirable;

A drivers licence is also essential.
