Are you an experienced horticulturist with a passion for high-end residential gardens? Leaf by Leaf is seeking a skilled and motivated Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on premium gardens and lead a small team while maintaining and enhancing some of Melbourne’s finest landscapes.

About the Role:

As a Garden Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for all aspects of garden care, ensuring that our clients’ gardens are maintained to the highest standards. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a small team to carry out high-quality garden maintenance

Work independently and as part of a team to maintain high-end residential gardens

Perform expert hedge and topiary pruning

Diagnose and treat pest and disease issues effectively

Identify plants with confidence and make informed horticultural decisions

Conduct irrigation repairs and adjustments

Lift and transport tools and equipment, including mowers, on and off a ute

Carry out softscaping, mulching, turf installation, and plant installations

Communicate effectively with clients and designers, ensuring clear direction and high client satisfaction

Follow and execute detailed garden maintenance plans in collaboration with designers

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A qualification in Horticulture

A minimum of 4 years' experience in high-end residential garden maintenance

Excellent plant identification skills

Strong pest and disease diagnosis and treatment abilities

Proficiency in irrigation repairs

Expertise in hedging and topiary work

The ability to lift and handle garden tools and machinery safely

Outstanding communication skills, with a client-focused approach

The ability to work collaboratively with designers and follow clear instructions
