About the role

We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facilities located in Coburg North, VIC

Shift Schedule

• Monday to Friday from 8.30am till 2.30pm.
• Monday to Sunday from 4.00pm till 7.00pm.
• Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.

* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.

Skills and experience

• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
• Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
• The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
• Well-presented and good customer service skills.
• Access to own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing meal service to aged care residents.
• Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
• Adhering to and completing food safety/quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
• Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks
• Food and beverage service
