Then consider a career in our National Intelligence team at the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA).
The Manager, Intelligence assists the Senior Manager, National Compliance Operations in delivering the following services:
- Monitoring available sources of data to verify compliance with Australian fisheries laws by Australian and foreign fishers both within the Australian Fishing Zone (AFZ) and on the high seas where Australia has an interest.
- Analysing data holdings, measuring, and analysing the nature and extent of compliance risks and providing decision makers advice about potential compliance threats which undermine the sustainability of Commonwealth fisheries.
- Providing specialist input into various operational strategies to mitigate potential threats to the sustainability of Commonwealth fisheries.
- Overall leadership of the section.

Eligibility
- AFMA staff are employed under the Australian Public Service Act 1999. All applicants must be Australian citizens.
- The successful applicant will hold, or have the ability to obtain, a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance: and
- be able to undertake international and interstate travel as required (for periods up to three weeks).
