About the opportunity:
Position: Clinical Nurse
Vacancy: Fixed term temporary full-time, up to 08/03/2026, part-time up to 15/02/2027, working 39.52 hours per fortnight, with the possibility to increase hours
Location: Charters Towers Health Service
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse is to provide clinical expertise, support and education to nursing staff within the Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care.
Enjoy a generous remuneration package value up to $132,289 p.a. comprising:
- Salary range: $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f. and $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
- Annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent) and proof of registration (if applicable.
- Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in Emergency Department and a current Adult Life Support certificate.
- Adult Life Support certificate: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per THHSCLI040151 Life Support Training and Assessment (https://qheps.health.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0038/475778/thhscli040151.pdf)
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- Travel is a requirement of this position.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted including criminal history clearance.
