About the Role

As our Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be in charge of maintaining and monitoring project plans and schedules and directing the activities of the construction projects under direction from the Site Coordinator - Project Manager. This role is also responsible for ensuring quality assurance and work health and safety standards are met throughout each project.

Whilst the primary purpose of this role will be Technical Site Support and Quality Checks, we are looking for an individual who has the ability to support a project from beginning to end, who is a team player, and thrives on diversity in their role. As a growing business, at times, our team members need to be an “all-rounder” – and willing to support other areas of the business as required. The diversity of tasks offers the individual the opportunity to broaden their skill set and gain experience in other areas of our business.

This role will also be expected to:

Support in Project Management

Revising site documentation

Draft project/site management plans.

Interpreting design and plans and preparing RFI’s.

Preparation of Construction programs and methodologies

Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

QA Checks

Coordinate Mobilization & Demob

To support the needs of the business, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to travel to site and stay on site during their rostered period.

About you

Our essential criteria are not negotiable, however, the additional skills and experience you may bring to the role could be wide and varied – we have outlined likely desirable skills, but it is by no means exhaustive.

Essential

1-year minimum experience as a Graduate Site Engineer.

Demonstrated experience in Civil Construction;

Experience with Project Management processes;

Solid experience in Microsoft Suite with a focus on Microsoft Project to enable you to hit the ground running with our software programs;

Superior time management skills;

Eye for detail and focus on accuracy; and

A current driver’s Licence.

As well as the essential criteria, you may have previous experience / skills in one or more of the following areas:

Civil engineering

Civil/geotechnical industry

Civil construction management

Bachelor's Degree in, Construction Management or Engineering whilst not essential to the duties of the role will be highly regarded.

This role includes a salary package of 110K - 125K inclusive with the provision of a telephone, laptop and a vehicle for the right candidate.
