MOTEL MANAGER – IMMEDIATE START

Are you passionate about hospitality and ready to lead the day-to-day operations of a stylish, boutique beachside motel? Surfside 22 is seeking a dedicated and motivated Motel Manager to join our team and oversee our modern, automated 16-room property in beautiful Wollongong.

About the Role:
As Motel Manager, you'll take ownership of delivering an outstanding guest experience while managing bookings, supervising housekeeping and maintenance, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a hands-on role with a focus on service, efficiency, and maintaining high standards across the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, and provide excellent customer service

Manage bookings and room allocations across OTAs and direct channels

Operate the Property Management System (PMS) – experience with MEWS a plus, but not essential

Apply dynamic pricing and basic revenue management strategies

Supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure a spotless, welcoming property

Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism

Monitor inventory and coordinate ordering of supplies

Respond to after-hours guest needs and emergencies as required

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards

Key Requirements:

Previous motel or hotel management experience preferred

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and think on your feet

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and after-hours

Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused attitude
