My Gateway in partnership with A&A Equipment Pty Ltd are taking applications for a 36-month traineeship in Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology.

In this traineeship opportunity you will be working in servicing, repairing, and maintaining civil, building, and construction equipment.

Duties:
Equipment Testing & Diagnostics: Test run all machinery to ensure proper function, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs.
Electrical & Safety Compliance: Conduct test and tagging (training provided) to ensure electrical safety of all tools and equipment.
Mechanical & Hydraulic Work: Service, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical (12-24V), and mechanical components.
Fabrication & Machining: Use tools such as lathes, drill presses, hydraulic crimpers, and welding equipment for fabrication and modifications.
Parts & Inventory Management: Complete job cards detailing parts used, reorder stock as needed, and refer to parts manuals for correct specifications.
Forklift Operation: Load, unload, and transport equipment within the workshop (forklift training provided if required).
Workshop Maintenance & Cleaning: Keep work areas clean and organized, including pressure washing equipment before servicing.

• Mechanically minded - You must have a strong interest in the diagnostics and mechanical parts of equipment
• Good attitude - Be a team player and a good communicator.
• Commitment- Be willing to learn, show interest in the work, keep up to date with study.
• Tickets and Licensing - is a bonus or willing to obtain!
