We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Pump Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter with pump experience to join our Mackay team.

With national OEM contracts, we have client contracts in place to support for service requirements.
Job Summary:
You will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance customer satisfaction. The work will be carried out on-site, in field and workshop based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and systems, and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
- Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Training: Stay updated with the latest technical knowledge and participate in ongoing training programs.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills:
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- You can expect to travel to customer sites 2-3 nights every few weeks.
- Availability for on-call work and overtime as needed.
