The Bunbury Farmers Market is Australia's leading independent Fresh Food Retailer. We are based in the Southwest of Western Australia in one of the most liveable areas in Australia. We pride ourselves on providing high quality fresh food. We source our fresh produce from over 150 local growers, and we are passionate about our ‘Market Made’ range of fresh meal and dessert choices made on the premises. Coupled with our high quality Gourmet Butcher / Meat and Seafood products, we have a unique dairy offering of local and international cheeses & anti-pasto that compliment our Deli, Sushi and Café lines.

Together with our partners Hancock Prospecting, we are poised for rapid growth in the coming years that includes our new store in Vasse (now open!) followed by a planned Perth store in 2027. We employ high quality people to maintain our high standards in return for a dynamic and rewarding career.

Role Summary:

We are now recruiting for Chefs & Bakers to lead their new teams into opening and running our Vasse Store food offering. “Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market” is a fresh food destination for WA’s Southwest region. You’ll be serving our visiting guests in our purpose-built restaurant or from our busy Café, Grill and Carvery buffet - We offer ‘family friendly shifts’ ! What we are looking for:

• Experience in the production of large quantity, high quality meals
• Chef de Partie and Bakers with a passion for commercial cookery
• Leadership and goal-oriented professionals
• Capacity to provide clear training and supervision to a team of kitchen hands
• Fastidious attention to detail to manage and monitor stock rotation and control to our high standards
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP Food Safety systems
